Photo Essay: A Perfect Night In Cocoa Beach

Last night, Cocoa Beach, Fla., lived up to its charming seaside-community reputation. The air was warm and dry and the skies clear were—both ideal for an evening stroll downtown.

From 5 p.m. till 10 p.m., the circus came to downtown Cocoa Beach last in form of four blocks worth of offshore raceboats, from the Team Farnsworth/Hancock Claims Consultants V-bottom to the Class 1 Morpheous8 Offshore catamaran.

Longtime Thunder On Cocoa Beach organizers Kerry Bartlett and Kevin Pruett stared at the crowd and grinned. “I think the turnout is even bigger than last year,” Bartlett said and shook his head. “I think it’s the biggest one we’ve ever had.

Pruett nodded in agreement.
