Nor-Tech 390 Sport ‘The Perfect Blend’ For Second-Time Buyers

Nor-Tech 390 Sport ‘The Perfect Blend’ For Second-Time Buyers

To kick off their Memorial Day Weekend in fine fashion, Joe and Jen Greulich headed to Cape Coral, Fla., last Friday to check out their new Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats 390 Sport center console powered by quad Mercury Racing V-10 400R outboard engines. And they couldn’t have happier with what they saw at the performance-oriented center-console builder’s headquarters.

That’s a very good thing as the Akron, Ohio, couple has big plans for the 39-footer this summer.

The Greulich’s new 39-footer will be delivered and on the water in a couple of weeks.

“We’ll be at the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run and hope to make it to the Boyne Thunder Poker Run, then Emerald Coast Powerboat Week and the Key West Poker Run with Florida Powerboat Club,” said Joe Greulich. “If we can fit it in, we also will try to make it on a Bahamas run this summer.”

The 39-footer will be delivered on a custom trailer from MYCO Trailers.

“Not only is the 390 super-easy to tow, it’s a fantastic-running boat in any kind of water,” Greulich added. “It’s the perfect blend for us.”

The 39-footer’s helm station will see plenty of duty this summer.

Plus, they have a few personal items to handle this summer. “We’re building a house and moving our son across country to start his career after grad school,” Joe Greulich said. “So it will be a busy summer.

The couple purchased the model—their second 390 Sport—through American Custom Marine in Kimball, Mich. Though factory visits prior to delivery always are an option for Nor-Tech clients, not all buyers take advantage of them according to American Custom Marine owner Michael Knoblock.

“But I always go to the factory in person to check on my boats and make sure they’re dialed in and ready for our customer, and Jen and Joe met me there,” Knoblock explained. “Joe and Jen are great customers—and they love their Nor-Techs. And they’ll have this one just in time for the boating season.”

Four potent V-10 outboards power the custom-built beauty.

Last Friday’s trip to the factory proved more than worthwhile for the Greulichs. During their visit, they met with Nor-Tech’s Geoff Tomlinson and Kevin Lane.

“It’s been fun watching our new build come to life and we especially enjoyed spending time with Geoff and Kevin as we learned more about the production process,” said Joe Greulich. “And we really appreciate the relationship we have developed with Mike at American Custom Marine, as well as the folks at the Nor-Tech factory.

“We have really fallen in love with the boat—and the brand,” he added.
