New Garmin GC 245 and GC 255 Marine Cameras Help Boaters Dock with Confidence

Garmin’s new GC 245 and GC 255 marine cameras provide distance markers and guidance lines to help with docking in tight quarters. The 1080p cameras deliver multiple views to a compatible Garmin chartplotter, including Standard View, wide-angle FishEye View and Bird’s Eye View.

Garmin’s new GC 245 and GC 255 cameras bring many of the innovative video guidance capabilities found in our Surround View Camera System to smaller vessels so even more boaters can benefit from increased visibility at the helm,” says Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of Global Consumer Sales. “Much like a backup camera in your car or truck, on-screen prompts can give you confidence while docking or navigating your boat through narrow marina waterways to help protect your passengers and property.”

On-screen guidance uses distance markers and guidance lines for visual reference, and the system features multi-camera streaming and digital zoom and pan. Engineered for a wide range of boats, each model is made to withstand the marine environment. The GC 255’s stainless steel thru-hull design can be flush-mounted for a sleek design, while the GC 245 has a surface-mount design with black and white options.
