Mystic Bringing The House To Fort Lauderdale Show

The Mystic Powerboats team is heading to the upcoming Fort Lauderdale Boat International Show with its full line of performance-oriented offerings. That means the DeLand, Fla., company will have an M5200 XL (Mystic’s designation for the extended-cabin version of its 52-footer), M4200 and M3800 center consoles and a C4000 catamaran at the October 30-November 30 event.

“Fort Lauderdale is definitely our biggest show of the year,” said John Cosker, the owner and founder of Mystic.

The 5200 XL is powered by quad Mercury Marine 600 Verado outboard engines and has a longer cabin, as noted above, that Cosker designed with island-hoppers in mind. Powered by four 500-hp outboard from Mercury Racing, the M4200 boasts redesigned cockpit seating. Quad Mercury Racing 500R outboards also power the M3800.

As for the C4000 catamaran, it is headed to rigging this week and will be finished in time for the Fort Lauderdale event. The 40-footer to be powered by twin 500-hp outboards is slated for duty as Mystic’s 2024 demo cat.

“We will keep this one for a while and do a poker-run tour with it this winter and next summer,” said Cosker. “We haven’t been to many poker runs lately, and it’s time to go back.”

Cosker is considering a return to the Miami International Boat Show next year. Mystic has not exhibited at the event since it moved back from its Virginia Key location to the Miami Convention Center and in-water Biscayne Bay locations in 2022.

“If we do Miami, it would just with the M5200 center console and the C4000 cat,” he said.
