Their father has been working on the cat during the off season at the WHM Motorsports shop in nearby Titusville.

“On Saturday in Cocoa Beach, I am going to run the boat myself and then run it with each of them,” explained Jay Muller. “We made some changes and then want me to run it with them.”

Muller said his sons also will campaign the boat at the American Power Boat Association Offshore Championship Series races in Ocean City, Md., and Sheboygan, Wis. Running those three races will qualify them for Super Cat-class points at the early November Race World Offshore-produced/APBA-sanctioned World Championships in Key West, Fla.

“They’ll also do some local Offshore Powerboat races,” he added. “They’ve done 10 or 12 Super Cat races so far.”

At present, six Super Cat teams are registered for Cocoa Beach, the second race of APBA series.
