MTI-V 50 Paintjob A First For Miles And Company – Speed on the Water

With the recently completed graphics on an MTI-V 50 center console owned by Matthew and Lori Schultz of Michigan, Stephen Miles has moved one step closer to his longtime stated goal of “painting them all.” The ambitious founder of the Owensboro, Ky., outfit that bears his name designed the color-scheme for a 50-footer from the Wentzville, Mo., company owned Bill Pyburn, Jr., but he did not handle the application.

The 50-footer is the third paintjob Stephen Miles Design has tackled for Matthew and Lori Schultz.

More than 1,200 man-hours went into the paintjob, which included the cabin interior and more. The 50-footer currently is being rigged at MTI headquarters.

“The MTI-V 50 is the third boat I’ve painted for Matt and Lori,” said Miles. “The first was a Nor-Tech 450 center console and the second was a Nor-Tech 500.”

The boat should be ready in time for the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run in early November. The couple also has an MTI 390X catamaran under construction. Miles will paint that one as well and it will be color-matched to the 50-footer.

Both boats will be powered by Mercury Racing 500R outboard engines.

“Matthew and Lori definitely appreciate and seek out the finer things in life,”  “The fact that they consider our paint work one of those finer things is an absolute honor and blessing.”

Look for the Schultz’s MTI at the Florida Powerboat Key West Poker Run in November.
