MTI 482 Catamaran ‘No. 4 Out The Door’

A Chicago-based MTI fan, Scott Rosenbach has owned more than a half-dozen catamarans and center consoles, including two first-generation 48-foot cats from the Wentzville, Mo., builder. Now he has a 2025 model-year MTI 482 cat ready to go at Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., the Lake of the Ozarks-based outfit that handled the deal.

Another new MTI catamaran awaits multi-time client Scott Rosenbach at Performance Boat Center.

The new eight-seat catamaran is powered by dual-calibration Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines.

“It’s number four out the door,” said Taylor Scism, the catamaran and center console company’s vice president. “It’s not the first one to have 1550/1350 engines, but it is the first one to leave here in 1550 mode.”

Rosenbach said he ordered the boat, which is color-matched to an MTI-V 50 center console he took delivery of in mid-summer, approximately two-and-a-half years ago. He has not yet run his new MTI creation, but he’s eager to get behind the wheel at the first opportunity.

“I am really excited about this one,” he said. “Rusty (Williams) and Myrick (Coil) ran it yesterday and said it’s amazing.

“I’m hoping to run it in the next week or two depending on the weather,” he added.
