Monster Energy/M CON Team All In For 2025/2026 Pro Class 1 Seasons

Having claimed a Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 World Championship in 2023, the Monster Energy/M CON team has already reached one of its goals. It’s an accomplishment not likely to be repeated anytime soon as UIM Class 1 competition has returned to dormancy. But the first full Pro Class 1 season under the American Power Boat Association banner starts May 15-18 in Cocoa Beach, Fla.

And that gives Monster Energy/M CON team owner/throttleman Tyler Miller, driver Myrick Coil and the crew, which ended their unprecedented Super Cat-class campaign after the 2024 Race World Offshore Key West World Championships in early November, two objectives to pursue.
“Our goals for the 2025 season are to defend our 2024 National Championship title against a fierce fleet of boats that Pro Class 1 will campaign this season and compete for a world championship title,” said Miller. “Our team is poised and fully focused on a single boat this season, which in turn will allow more opportunity to dial in our program.
“Keeping the Monster Energy boat on top of the podium will be first and foremost for the 2025 season,” he added. “We’ve spent a lot of time with our current Pro Class 1 438 Skater off the coast of Florida for the 2025 season. We’ve made significant gains to all the numbers across the board with multiple changes to the boat. We can’t wait to go racing.”
The team also is building a new Skater raceboat at the Douglas, Mich., facility for the 2026 season. The project started in December 2023.
“We are building a first-of-its-kind Skater catamaran that Myrick, (Skater founder/owner) Peter Hledin and I put a ton of thought and foresight into,” Miller explained. “We feel it will be the ‘golden ticket’ packaged with the Mercury Racing 1100 Comp engine power.
“Peter told me years ago that you can’t build a boat that is perfect for every condition—rough, chop and flat,” he continued. “But you can build a boat that is competitive in most conditions and dominant in one, and that’s what we believe we currently are creating at Skater.”

Said Tyler Miller, “Keeping the Monster Energy boat on top of the podium will be first and foremost for the 2025 season.”
