M CON Super Cat Carries Monster Energy Theme Into New Graphics
Released today, graphics for the new Class 1 Skater 438 raceboat currently under construction for the M CON/Monster Energy team are already drawing raves from offshore powerboat racing fans. As previously reported on speedonthewater.com, Monster Energy drink is sponsoring the Kansas-based team owned by Tyler and Lindsey Miller for the 2023 Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 Offshore World Championship Series.
The M CON Super Cat team raceboat will have a new look for the 2023 season.
While backing from Monster Energy doesn’t extend to the M CON’s Super Cat-class racing program—throttleman Tyler Miller and driver Myrick Coil ran the team’s Skater 388 catamaran powered by Sterling Performance engines to an American Power Boat Association national championship and a UIM world championship last season—the team still opted to include the Monster theme in the 38-foot raceboat. And the results are spectacular.
“Steve Schulte at Skater Powerboats came up with the design for the Super Cat,” said Lindsey Miller. “We love it.”
The newly wrapped Skater cat will debut at the APBA Offshore National Championships Series season-opener, April 28-30, in Marathon, Fla., a new venue for producer Race World Offshore, which also will produce the season-ending, September 22-24 race of the APBA series in Clearwater, Fla. Between those bookended events, the Super Cat M CON team will compete May 18-21 in Cocoa Beach, Fla.; June 1-3 at the Lake of the Ozarks Powerfest in Central Missouri; June 30-July 2 in Sarasota, Fla., and September 1-3 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
