Latest DCB M33R Open-Bow A Family-Inspired Move

A three-time DCB Performance Marine model owner, Todd Miller enjoyed his M37R catamaran. Miller, who lives in Southern California with his wife, Tiffanie, and owns a construction company, couldn’t get enough of the 37-footer’s performance, from handling to top speed. It was his high-performance dream-boat.

Going with an open-bow interior format made ideal sense for the Miller family.
“I loved the 37,” he said.
So why did he sell the cat and order his second DCB M33R with an-open bow?
Simple answer? His family preferred it, and he is all about family.
The Millers have two daughters and one son, ages 17 to 26, and his family preferred the 33-footer with an open bow for the kind of boating they all enjoy on Lake Havasu. They own a second home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and the lake is their home-water.

The 33-footer’s helm station is clean and simple.
“My son and I would be in the front seats running the 37 at 100 mph and smiling and talking, and then I’d look back and the girls different expressions,” he said, then laughed. “My daughters like riding in the bow and lounging around. So I decided to make a change.”

The new build is Miller’s second M33R and third DCB.
Miller did get a little something special for himself when he bought the new 33-footer. He ordered the cat with 500-hp outboard engines from Mercury Racing. A pair of 450Rs powered his first M33R.
“I am really looking forward to running that thing with the 500s,” he said.
Take a closer look at the details.
Though the boat was completed in late December 2024, the Millers have not yet run it. Business commitments have kept Miller from finding the time to get everyone together for a Lake Havasu trip. But it’s coming in the near future.
“The 33R is the perfect Havasu boat,” he said. “I am looking forward to getting everyone out in it.”

Miller is looking forward to experience an M33R with twin 500-hp outboards.
