The multi-stop day on the water will be based out of the Marina Jack facility in Sarasota.
“We are so pleased to be able to partner with Suntex Marinas/Marina Jack for a fun day out on the water for a great cause,” said Lucy Nicandri, the executive director of Sarasota Suncoast Charities for Children. “What is different about this fun run is that it offers boaters the flexibility to visit as many official stops as they like and in any order they like.”
The $50 event registration fee includes entry for each captain and one passenger. Additional passenger registration is $50 per person.
Though Sarasota Suncoast Charities for Children no longer has ties to the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix, the nonprofit entity still retains a deep connection to the Southwest Florida community. So far in 2022, the second-year, June-through-September Suncoast Summer Fest has raised $151,000 for the organization through events from golf tournaments to motorcycle rides.
Suncoast Charities for Children provides funding to seven local non-profit agencies that provide support to local children, teenagers, and adults with special needs and their families.
