Kuttawa Cannonball Run Opens Registration
The big question for Kuttawa Cannonball Run organizers Terry Martin, Jeff Hoefling and Stephen Miles—who is celebrating a birthday today—isn’t whether the 2024 Kuttawa Cannonball Run will come back strong. Last year’s event based hosted by Hu-B’s restaurant Kuttawa Harbor Marina attracted 196 registered boats and raised $102,000. The eighth annual Kentucky happening, which opened registration today and is set for May 31-June 1, has earned its place as a nationally known high-performance powerboating event.
Now entering its eighth year, the Kuttawa Cannonball Run has become one of the country’s premiere go-fast boating events. Photo by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.
“We’re pretty excited to get the 2024 boating season kicked off,” said Martin. “We’ve got a lot of fun planned, but it will be the same friendly atmosphere that our friends have come to expect from Old Kuttawa.
“Hu-B’s will continue to be our host marina for 2024—they have great food, great drinks and great entertainment,” he continued. “We look forward to seeing everyone again this year.”
Nolan Ferris will reprise his role of auctioneer this year, and speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden will return as the official photographer for the two-day event on Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
In addition to publishing real-time coverage of the event on speedonthewater.com, Speed On The Water and Scrapyard Media will produce a feature video capturing this year’s Kuttawa Cannonball Run as well as its history.
