Racing: Inside The Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix VIP Hospitality Experience
–>
Celebrating its 37th anniversary this year and set for Sunday, July 3, the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix isn’t just the third contest of the American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series, it’s the longest continually running regular-season event in offshore racing. P1 Offshore—the offshore race-production arm of United Kingdom-headquartered Powerboat P1—will be producing the event for the second year in a row and has created a “VIP Experience” for fans interested in an upscale day on Lido Beach.

Tickets for the Southwest Florida event went on sale earlier this week.
The Lido Beach VIP hospitality opens at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and closes at 5 p.m. The “premium viewing” setup will include from a tent furnished with seats and tables, as well as an open bar. Lunch will be catered from noon to 1 p.m. To augment the fan experience, the tent will be supplied with multiple televisions carrying the races via livestream on the P1 Offshore Facebook page.
The Lido Beach VIP hospitality area opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.
The VIP site will be adjacent to the P1 Village, “a fan engagement zone with activations, vendors, bars, food, merchandise and more,” in the Lido Beach parking lot.
“At each of our events we’re striving to elevate the fan experience and create a comfortable place for guests to enjoy the races,” said Cole McGowan, the director of communications for Powerboat P1 USA. “Sarasota is home to some of offshore racing’s longest-running fan bases, so we want those fans and anyone who may be new to the sport to experience premium race viewing and hospitality for a memorable July 4 weekend on the beach.”
Comfort is at the forefront of the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix VIP experience.
