Image of The Week: Twin Teague Beauties And More Ready For Desert Storm
Thanks to the company’s decades-long involvement with the Desert Storm Poker Run in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., back when it had a different name even, this week toward the end of April is always a particularly busy one for the team at Teague Custom Marine in Valencia, Calif. With the Wednesday charitable rides and welcome party kicking off this week’s fun on the lake that borders Arizona and California, the team at Teague Custom Marine is en route to the Sonoran Desert for some serious fun—and business—on and off the water.

According to Cherilyn Noack, the vice president of marketing for TCM, she’s particularly excited about a couple of things heading into the poker run. First, Noack said that the Skater Powerboats 44 SS catamaran that her father, Bob Teague, built in 2009 is coming out of hibernation for the poker run. Second, TCM is going to have its all-new “Teague Tropical” apparel collection, which is available in two colors of unisex T-shirts and two colors of women’s tank tops, for sale at the event’s massive Street Party along McCulloch Blvd., on Thursday afternoon.
“We did a lot of work to the Skater over the winter and are thrilled to be bringing it back to Desert Storm—it will be on display at Thursday’s Street Party and participating in Friday’s poker run,” Noack said. “The boat’s engines, a next-generation pair of the TCM 1335 EFIs, were refreshed and reconfigured with 5.0L Whipple Superchargers. All of the rigging was redone and we also did some cosmetic improvements to the boat, including touching up the bottom paint and resurfacing and clear-coating the drives, all of which we did in house.
“I think BT is excited to get to use the boat again on Lake Havasu—it’s been a while,” she added with a laugh. “We’ve used it pretty much exclusively the past few years on the California Delta up in Discovery Bay.”

Along with the Skater, Noack and her husband, Josh, are bringing their Adrenaline Custom Boats 26 Savage powered by twin Mercury Racing 300R engines that they took delivery of in early 2019. The boat is going to be on display at the Street Party as well.
“We’re also very excited to bring the Adrenaline back to Havasu—we had it there when we first got it and since then it’s pretty much lived in Discovery Bay,” Cherilyn Noack said. “Josh is planning to do the Shootout in the boat so he’s excited about that, too.”
Josh Noack, a corporate officer with the business who is a dual-certified Mercury Racing mechanic and the company’s lead service writer, participated in the Shootout in 2019 and won his class with a 108-mph top speed. He’s had a lot of seat time in the boat since then so he’s expecting to do even better this time around, conditions allowing of course.

Cherilyn Noack added that she can’t wait to see several of the newer boats delivered from the likes of Eliminator Boats and Howard Custom Boats that feature Teague power.
“We plan on supporting all of the events like we normally do,” she added. “If last year’s Street Party was any indication, we’re expecting a lot of partygoers. Hopefully they’re ready to go shopping and get their shirts and other gear.”
