HydroHoist Unveils Boat-Lift System Requiring No Slip
If you ever seen a HydroHoist boat-lift in action, you know the system of tubes of each side of a boat-cradle fits neatly inside a boat slip. But with the new HarborHoist H2 Series of boat lifts, which the company unveiled last week at the Miami International Boat Show, you don’t need a boat slip—though it also can be used with one.
The new HarborHoist system expands boat-lift options.
All you need is a piling, pillar or dock. The “slip” is part of the hydro-pneumatic system’s structure.
“This new series represents a significant innovation in boat-lift technology, combining state-of-the-art materials and design to provide boat owners with unparalleled ease of use and reliability,” according to a press release from the Oklahoma-based, 55-year-old lift manufacturer.
Designed for powerboats from 18 to 28 feet long, the HarborHoist H2 system can be installed in various water-depths from 48 to 55 inches depending on the size and weight of the vessel. The system primarily is constructed using corrosion-resistant metals and polyethylene tubes, and can be adapted to accommodate vessels of various sizes. A four-float HarborHoist H2 setup can handle a 5,000-pound powerboat with a 9’6” beam and 18’7” overall length.
With an eight-float configuration, the HarborHoist H2 system can accommodate a 21,000-pound powerboat with an 11’6” beam and a 28’6” overall length. According to the release, the H2 system’s “adaptable design means it can be adjust to fit boats of different lengths, making it a one-stop solution for various types of watercraft.”
Though a slip is not required, the HarborHoist H2 boat-lift system can be used within one.
