Howe To Sell An MTI 440X Catamaran
Please pardon the pun-afflicted headline—it wrote itself—but Mike and Sarah Howe of Howe2Live YouTube channel fame are selling their MTI 440X catamaran. Powered by Mercury Racing 500R outboard engines, the 2023 model-year 44-footer has taken the couple on more than a few “ambitious” adventures highlighted on their viral YouTube show, including a 1,800-plus-mile weekend run from Portland, Maine, to Key West, Fla.

The Howe’s 440X cat was the first production model from the Wentzville, Mo.-headquartered high-performance catamaran and center console builder.
In a Facebook post, Michael Howe described the 44-footer, which has 105 operating hours on its supercharged 500-hp engines as “a true elegant warrior in mint condition.” The cat still has its H2L vinyl graphics, but they can be removed for a new owner who’d rather fly lower-profile.
“We will miss her so much—she’s the best high-performance boat we’ve ever owned and the fastest 440X ever built,” Howe wrote. “She won’t be available for long.”

The couple listed the boat with Tom Stuart at MTI, but not before ordering another MTI 440X. Beyond that, they’re not releasing additional details just yet.
“It will be a ‘variant’ of an outboard-powered 440X, a unique H2L-specific, high-speed adventure model,” Howe said.
Never has the imperative, “Stay tuned” been more appropriate.
