Luxury wooden boat manufacturer Grand Craft Boats has launched its first boat since the company’s recent relocation from Holland, Michigan, to Genoa City, Wisconsin. The 26-foot custom handcrafted Burnham model is currently in Florida for a series of private events before it will be offered for sale later this year.

“It’s a bit like a first born,” says Patrick Gallagher, president and CEO of Grand Craft. “This is a huge milestone for our company and our commitment to a long and successful manufacturing history.”

Gallagher christened the boat along with his wife and co-owner, Rose Gallagher, celebrating the first of many more Grand Craft boats to come out of Wisconsin.

Currently occupying a 20,300-square-foot building in Genoa City, the business relocated with the help of a $125,000 state income tax credit from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, contingent on the number of jobs created and capital invested. Grand Craft currently employs nine, and has plans to grow to 20 employees in the next three years, with an aim to produce over 20 boats annually. The second and third releases are underway, with one already sold to a private resort in the Florida Keys.
