Friday Afternoon Wozen-Bash Set For The Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout – Speed on the Water

If you aren’t committed to multiple social events during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, you either aren’t looking very hard to find them or just need a day or night to yourself. But with the exception of brand-exclusive owner gatherings such as those produced by MTI and Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats—and the Shootout’s own Poly-Lift Boat Lifts-backed poker run—Friday tends to be a “light day.”

Fresh from enjoying the Weekend At Ronnie’s Skater Powerboats-brand celebration in Michigan in his 32-foot Skater catamaran, Devin Wozencraft is throwing a casual party of his own during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. Photo by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.

To help fill the void, as well as thank existing customers and maybe meet a few new ones, Wozencraft Insurance Agency is hosting a “LOTO Tie-Up Meet-and-Greet” on Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mile Marker No. 6. It will be based off the docks of a private home owned by the parents of Scott Kottman, who works for the Southern California-headquartered high-performance marine insurance business.

The party location, according to company principal Devin Wozencraft, is a five- to seven-minute boat ride from the Camden On The Lake Resort in Lake Ozark, which is home-base to the weekend-long Super Cat Fest happening. The Friday event is open to all comers.

“We are catering in lots of food and drinks—non-alcoholic of course—and even raffling off two Yeti coolers,” said Wozencraft. “It’s best to boat to the spot as we will have two or three raft-offs from the dock.

“I decided to host a party for our clients, as well as any boating friends who want to join in the fun, because exploring the lake and having cool destinations is one of the most special features of the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout week,” he added. “And our little get-together is happening at a great destination.”
