Florida Powerboat Club Releases 2025 Schedule
Though the 32nd annual Key Poker West Poker Run is just a few weeks away from capping the strong 2024 Florida Powerboat Club season, the 2025 schedule is now live on the outfit’s website. The 11-event line-up includes member-favorites from the Miami Boat Show Poker Run to Emerald Coast Powerboat Week, and of course the club’s signature Key West adventure.
Here’s a quick rundown and a few notes.

January 24-26—Winter Fun Run
Just two months after the five-day blowout that is the Key West Poker Run, the Winter Poker Run never attracts a big fleet to the Playa Largo Resort Destination. But it is by design one of the most laidback and intimate events on the club’s schedule.
February 20-23—The Miami Boat Show Poker Run
The weekend after its namesake event and the Florida Powerboat Club/Speed On The Water Miami Boat Show Party, the Miami Boat Show Poker Run returns to the Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key for the second time in as many years.
March 20-23—Spring Poker Run
Jones was hoping to produce his Spring Fun Run in Southwest Florida next year rather than the Florida Keys, but those plans are on hold—and likely won’t come to fruition—thanks to venue damage caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. While he hasn’t made announcement yet, that event probably will end up back in the Keys.
April 10-15—Tampa Bay Poker Run
Relocating the home-base for the Tampa Bay Poker Run to downtown Tampa and out of St. Petersburg saved a struggling event. Now the Tampa Bay affair is one of the most popular happenings on the club’s schedule.
May 9-12—Orange Beach Powerboat Week Poker Run
For poker-runners who want to remain stateside, Orange Beach Powerboat Week in Alabama is the last event before the club sets focuses on Bahamas trips for the summer.

June 11-17—Bahamas Poker Run
With six- and seven-day options, this event, which celebrates its 34th anniversary next year, is open to all brands of powerboats.
July 16-23—Deep Impact Bahamas Run
As the name more-than-implies, this Bahamas trek is open to the owners of center consoles in the Deep Impact brand. The club organized its first Deep Impact owners run to the Bahamas in 2024.
August 17-13—Nor-Tech Owners Invitational Bahamas Run
Nor-Tech owners now have a Florida Powerboat Club-organized event to call their own.
August 28-September 1—Northern Bahamas Island Hop
As with the first Bahamas event on the schedule, club members don’t need a Deep Impact or Nor-Tech for this one.
September 18-21—Emerald Coast Powerboat Week Poker Run
The club’s second most popular event of any given year, the Emerald Coast Poker Run attracted 90-plus this year and likely will do it again in 2025.
November 5-11—Key West Poker Run
If you haven’t been, you need to go, and if you’ve already been you need to go again. But there’s plenty of time. The 2024 event isn’t even in the books yet.

Jones and his team are focused on the November 5-10 event, so next year is far from their thoughts. But for Florida Powerboat Club members, especially those who have tucked their boats into bed for the winter, it’s not too early to start planning for next year.
