Featured Boat: 2022 Skater 28 Catamaran

The subject of a speedonthewater.com article, a 2022 model-year, 28-foot Skater catamaran is for sale by Brian Swinney, its New Jersey-based owner. The boat is powered by Mercury Racing 300R outboard engines mounted on STR brackets. According to the listing, the engines have 250 operating hours, are still under warranty and are equipped with black carbon fiber air-scoops.

Dubbed Bug Money for Swinney’s pest-control business, the 28-footer is equipped with a 12-inch Garmin 8612 GPSS unit and two nine-inch Mercury Vessel monitors. The cat’s Alcantara and vinyl interior was handled by Appearance Products, and it sole is dressed Seadek flooring.

For tunes, the boat is equipped with a sound system boasting a touch-screen Fusion received and JFL audio speakers. Said Swinney, “The thing bumps.”

According to the owner, the ceramic-coated cat has been stored in a climate-controlled facility for its entire life and recently received its 300-hour service

Price is $259,000. An aluminum Skater trailer is included.
