Featured Boat: 2006 Outerlimits 42 Legacy – The American
We did a couple of stories on this 2006 Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats 42 Legacy V-bottom that was meticulously restored in 2020 by Waves and Wheels and Graphix 1 Paint in Osage Beach, Mo., with an emphasis on melding luxury, performance and patriotism.
Dubbed The American, the 42-footer is powered by twin Mercury Racing 1075SCi engines that have just 50 hours since they were rebuilt by Mark Boos of Precision Marine Performance Engines in Louisiana. At the same time, Maryland Offshore Performance Marine Center helped ensure peak performance with upgraded and refreshed mechanical components and rigging. The freshwater-only boat gets the power to the water with No. 6 drives.
The interior, refurbished by Waves and Wheels, features a full lighting package, a Bluave Marine Audio sound system, Garmin integration and a tailored dash.
