ELEVATE 2022: Let’s go to Orlando!
By David Gee
We have a date for ELEVATE SUMMIT: November 14-16. We have a place, too: The Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando. Now all we need is you. And yes, I’ll promise to stop rhyming now.
Preparation has been well underway for the fourth Annual Boating Industry ELEVATE SUMMIT, and we are so excited to be thinking about – and working on – it.
If you have attended any or all of the first three conferences, you know to expect compelling content, great speakers, and the opportunity to learn the latest developments on key issues impacting the recreational boating industry.
There is also ample networking time, and the chance to compare best practices and lessons learned with others in the industry, whether they be from your part of the business or not.
There aren’t very many boating industry events where you could have a dealer principal, a senior executive from a boat builder, a marina owner and someone from a trade association all sitting at the same table at lunch.
And in Atlanta, you might have even had a powersports dealer added to the mix. Beginning last year, and continuing this year, Boating Industry parent company EPG Brand Acceleration decided to co-locate the Powersports Business Accelerate Conference with ELEVATE SUMMIT.
The speeches and sessions run concurrently, but separately, in conference ballrooms right next to one another. And then we have a chance to mingle with each other during breaks, lunches and over beverages at the end of the day, adding even more to the uniqueness.
We’ll hear from a diverse industry panel, get economic and legislative updates, and have a session focusing on women in the recreational boating industry.
New for 2022 (sorry, one more rhyme!), we are excited to announce that Margaret Podlich, executive director of the American Boat and Yacht Council Foundation, will be coming to ELEVATE SUMMIT for the first time to speak about workforce development, and what we can all do ensure a strong and qualified workforce in the future.
And back by popular demand, Jack Ellis, founder and managing director of market intelligence firm Info-Link, will be providing the latest sales figures, stories and trends from the 2022 recreational boating industry sales season, and perhaps provide some hints about 2023.
He made his ELEVATE SUMMIT debut with a standalone market data breakout session last year and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. In fact, the only negative reviews we received were from people who wanted his session to be longer and have more time for questions. Noted. We are happy to have Jack back (absolutely my last rhyme).
And not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but we are already thinking about where to have the 2023 Boating Industry ELEVATE Summit. So if you have any ideas or recommendations, drop us a line.
In the meantime, mark your calendars for November 14-16, in Orlando. We can’t wait for ELEVATE SUMMIT, and we hope to see you there!
