Early Shirt Run For Kuttawa Cannonball Run
Imagine showing up to the 2024 Kuttawa Cannonball Run, set for May 31-June 1 in Old Kuttawa, Ky., already wearing a shirt from this year’s event. That would—without question—land you in the cool-kids group. And who wouldn’t want to be one of the cool kids, especially when your coolness helps raise money for local charities in Lyon County?

To that end, the event organizers have released a limited amount of 2024 event T-shirts. That’s the word from Jeff Hoefling, who organizes the run on Lake Barkley and Kentucky with his friends Terry Martin and Stephen Miles.
“Terry got the majority of the T-shirts done so all of those already purchased online will be shipping this week,” said Hoefling. “We also did anther small T-shirt run so that you can still purchase in advance, instead of purchasing at the event, if you haven’t already.
“I believe tank tops are next on the list,” he add. “Thank you again to Sunsation Powerboats, Bob Mayes, Terry Martin, Troy Bachman and Cory Hakes for sponsoring the artwork.
So far, the eighth annual Kentucky happening has attracted 11 sponsors and 45 registered boats. Photographer Pete Boden and auctioneer Nolan Ferris are reprising their Kuttawa roles, and the event also will be the subject of a Speed On The Water/Scrapyard Media documentary video
“I hear Taylor Swift is coming,” Hoefling quipped, then laughed.
Let’s hope she shows up in a current event shirt.
