DCB Opens Owners Regatta Registration
Online registration for the DCB Performance Marine Owners Regatta, set for October 3-4, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., opened this morning. But this time around, members of the Arizona-based DCB team will have a shorter drive to Lake Havasu thanks to the company’s relocation from El Cajon, Calif., to Phoenix last June.
Registration for the annual gathering of the DCB Performance Marine family is open.
“The drive from El Cajon was never that bad,” Jeff Johnston, the president of the custom high-performance catamaran company, said then laughed. “But hey, I’ll gladly take a shorter driver over a longer one.
“We are all looking forward to spending time this fall with our DCB family,” he added. “It’s a special group and we are very grateful to have them join us so we can show our appreciation for their incredible support.”
The timing of the DCB’s complete relocation—without disrupting catamaran builds in progress—did the company no favors when it came to planning the 2023 regatta. But the event still managed to attract 68 DCB owners and their guests for two days of boating and celebration.
For Kelly O’Hara, a DCB M37R owner who lives in Upstate New York, the 2024 DCB regatta will be his second such event. (Kiran Pinisetti, his Indiana-based partner in the cat, may have a schedule conflict.) O’Hara and his wife, Julie, were dazzled by the environs of the Colorado River-fed waterway last time around.

“Last year was a lot of fun meeting and hanging out with our new owner-friends,” O’Hara said.
Like their friends and fellow DCB M37R owners O’Hara and Pinisetti, Greg Harris and Yvonne Aleman of South Florida, plan to attend the Lake Powell Challenge, September 19-22, in Arizona and Utah ahead of the DCB event. Harris and Aleman will leave their 37-footer in a Lake Havasu City storage facility for the winter.
Said Harris, “We are really looking forward to attending Lake Powell and the DCB regatta back-to-back with our ever-growing family of DCB owners.”
