Concept Boats Planning Three-Boat Display For Miami International Boat Show
Despite being busier than ever with builds in process and on order as well as tooling new models to expand and update its line of custom center consoles, the team at Concept Boats is eager for the upcoming Miami International Boat Show (February 12-16) as the hometown builder is going to have three models on display during the show, which is owned by the National Marine Manufacturers Association in partnership with the International Yacht Brokers Association and produced by Informa Markets.

According to Concept vice president Eric Avila, the son of Concept founder Luis Avila, the Opa-locka, Fla.-based builder will have a new 4400 Open luxury performance center console powered by quad Mercury Racing 500R engines on display at the Herald Plaza location of the show. Along with the 44-footer that was delivered at the Florida Powerboat Club’s Key West Poker Run in November, Concept is bringing a 3600 Open featuring a pair of Mercury Racing 500R engines and its all-new 32 Sport Deck powered by twin Mercury Racing 400R engines that has never been displayed at the boat show before.
The new 32-foot sportboat, which includes a spacious cockpit, a roomy cabin and a sizable swim platform, was unveiled in September and has been well received, Avila said.
“This is the first time we really get to show off how cool the new 32 Sport Deck is,” Avila said. “It’s different than the open-style center consoles we offer, that’s for sure. And considering it is the smallest model in our Luxury Series line, the boat has a lot to offer in a 32-foot package. So between the new 32, the 36 with 500Rs and the bright red 44 with four 500Rs, we’re expecting a great show.”
This 36-foot blue beauty with twin Mercury Racing 500Rs is going to be on display at the Miami show.
Although the three models won’t be available to demo, arrangements can be made through Avila after the show.
“We’re also inviting anyone to come tour the factory during the week of the boat show,” Avila said. “My dad will be there on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so if someone wants to take a tour of the shop and see how we build our boats and meet the people on our team, they can contact me to make an appointment.”
Like many performance boat companies, Avila, who said Concept has been attending the Miami International Boat Show for 37 or 38 years of the company’s 39-year history, admitted that he enjoyed the boat show more at its temporary home on Virginia Key.
“I agree that the boat show at Virginia Key was a more ideal spot because everything was right there together, but for us we still have to be at the show; I mean it’s Miami—it’s a monster show,” Avila added. “We have a lot of cool stuff coming in 2025 so we need to be there to promote everything Concept has going on.”
Concept vice president Eric Avila is excited to show off the company’s new 32 Sport Deck model.
As previously reported, Concept is building a new 53-footer and Avila said the first one is already in the molds. He’s expecting it to hit the water this year and he’s also anticipating that the company’s revamped 36-footer, which he said he’s taken several orders for already, is going to be right behind it.
“It’s it going to be a big year for Concept,” Avila said. “Thank God, everything is going very well.”
