Closing Out The Mystic Family Reunion – Speed on the Water

Yesterday’s Mystic Powerboats Owners Rendezvous main event, a lunch run from the Westin Cape Coral Resort host venue to Fisherman’s Village on Punta Gorda, saw a 21-boat fleet and 100-plus participants make the trek. Center consoles, of course, dominated the mix. The DeLand, Fla., company has produced 80-plus M4200s since introducing the model in 2015. The fleet also included a healthy contingent of M3800 center consoles, a few C4000 catamarans—including hull. No 1 and most recent second-generation version—and the latest M5200 flagship.

But as usual, the numbers don’t tell the story.

Mystic creations claimed the Fisherman’s Village docks yesterday on Punta Gorda.

During lunch, Mystic Powerboats general manager Ryan Zivitski and his wife, Amber, and their sons Paxton and Sterling sat at a window table overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. The couple has been front and center as gracious hosts at every Mystic Owners Rendezvous to date, including the early events in Key West, Fla.

The ate together as a family—surrounded by members of their extended Mystic family.

“What I enjoy most about these events is just seeing people get away from all of the troubles and hardships and worries of life, and be around people they can have fun with and create memories with their family and friends—and make new friends,” Ryan explained. “One of our customers stopped by last night at the table (Mystic Powerboats founder and owner) John Cosker and I were sitting at and he said, ‘We moved down here to Florida two or three months ago, and because we own a Mystic we have new family members.’ He has met other Mystic owners. He has gone boating with them with and built relationships with them.

“This is a whole new part of his life now that that didn’t’ have before,” he added. “And it’s all because he joined the Mystic family.”

Ryan and Amber Zivitski and their sons Paxton and Sterling enjoyed lunch among members of their extended family of Mystic customers.

Zivitski paused for a moment and smiled.

“That kind of stuff is really neat for me to see,” he continued. “Sometimes, like at the factory in your normal day-to-day, you go through all the different struggles and the ups and downs and you wonder what it’s all for. But then you come to an event this and see it.”

Scenes from a family reunion.

Most of the Mystic owners on hand, who enjoyed another cocktail reception last night at the Westin venue, departed. Greg Weber, the company’s national sales manager, we lead the six or seven boats remaining on a short, casual lunch run today to Naples.

But the destination doesn’t matter. Wherever the group goes, it will go as a family.

Though center consoles dominated Mystic mix, the C4000 catamarans on hand were stunners.
