A popular sugar-free energy/fitness beverage with seven essential vitamins, CELSIUS ® is now the Official Energy Drink and Series Partner for P1 Offshore, the offshore powerboat race-producing arm of United Kingdom-headquartered Powerboat P1, as well as the P1 Aqua-X personal watercraft racing series. The news was announced in a press release from Powerboat P1 this morning.

The P1 Offshore group produced the American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series season-opener in June in Cocoa Beach, Fla., and is producing this weekend’s Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix.
“We’re thrilled to welcome CELSIUS to the Powerboat P1 family,” said Cole McGowan, the director of communications for Powerboat P1, in the release. “Sarasota is a fantastic event to launch our partnership and we’re excited to introduce exciting new engagements for fans at our races.”
The sponsorship package includes national exposure for CELSIUS via Powerboat P1 broadcasts on Bally Sports Regional Networks in the United States, according to the release, as well as coverage through Powerboat P1 social media and public relations programs. Starting with the Sarasota event and continuing at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix September 2-4, the package includes on-site product giveaways and promotions, prominent signage and more.
As previously reported on the speedonthewater.com, the company also is backing the Ignite Offshore Racing team Super Stock-class raceboat manned by owner/driver Chris Hopgood and throttleman Ryan Beckley.
‘CELSIUS is an exciting addition to our growing team,” said Hopgood in the release. “We have a lot of early mornings and long days in this sport, and CELSIUS will help fuel the entire team’s performance.”
