Big Thunder Marine Going All In With Fountain Center Consoles For Fort Lauderdale Show
Headquartered in Lake Ozark, Mo., with multiple locations as well as operations in South Florida, Big Thunder Marine is bringing the full center console lineup from Fountain Powerboats to the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Big Thunder Marine salesman Ed Champion will be on site for the October 30-November 3 event, along with Fountain Powerboats chief operating officer Jeff Harris, Iconic Marine Group owner Fred Ross, and others members of the Big Thunder/Fountain teams.

“We’re going to showcase a 32 NX with twin Mercury Racing 300R outboards, a 34-footer with twin 400R outboards, a 38 SCX with triple 500Rs and a 43 SCX with quad 500Rs,” Champion said. “It’s going to be a great line-up.
“For the (Florida Powerboat Club) Key West Poker Run the following week, we will bring the 43 SCX if it doesn’t sell during the show, a 38 SCX owned by customers Jason and Lisa Hill and a 38 SC from our Key Largo location.”
A new Fountain 43 SCX with quad Mercury Racing 500R engines is going to be available at the show.
Though the company won’t be bringing any Fountain sportboats or catamarans to the Fort Lauderdale show, Champion said there are deals in the works for one of each. On the sportboat side, he’s wrapping up a deal on a 42 Lightning. On the catamaran side, the company will start construction on a reconfigured 44-foot cat released under the Donzi label that will now join the Fountain family.
“We are completely redoing the cockpit of the 44-foot cat and replacing the windshield,” he said.
