Lots of poker run fans have jerseys custom-made to match their boats—it’s a thing. But how many can say they also have matching customized sunglasses?

Thanks to a company called Rydge, the high-bidder at the Speed On The Water Key West Bash auction, set for 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, can have an abundance of both. Auctioneer Nolan Ferris will sell off 25 custom customized-to-order jerseys and 25 pairs of customized shades from Rydge, which recently produced apparel for MTI.
Ferris only moonlights as an auctioneer. He earns his living as trainer and representative for Ski-Doo snowmobiles, and he connected us to his friend, Rick Tiede of Rydge. Tiede and Ferris bumped into each other yesterday at a snowmobile industry event in Detroit. Rydge makes custom shirts and shades for professional snowmobile racers, NHRA drag-racing teams and more. Now Tiede is coming to Key West.
All Rydge jersey’s are made from moisture-wicking material.
When Ferris told Tiede about this Thursday night’s Speed On The Water celebration, presented this year by Parallel Project, and the auction benefitting Samuel’s House, Tiede stepped up and offered custom jerseys and shades. He’s coming to the party, and he’ll work closely with the winning bidder so the company can create and deliver the finished products.
Of course, now Ferris has another great auction item to handle. And he’s just fine with that.
“I love it,” he said. “Raising more money for Samuel’s House than we’ve ever raised before is our goal, right? I think this will help. Rydge makes really cool products.”
