BAM College Team Trail – Tournament Information Sheet
The BAM College Team Trail gives college anglers the opportunity to fish professionally-run tournaments, compete for cash, prizes, and points, and represent their school on a big stage.
How it Works
- Teams consist of two anglers fishing together from their own boat.
- Teams compete against other college teams for cash, prizes, and Angler of the Year points.
- Standard BAM tournament rules apply — including fish limits, safety rules, and sportsmanship.
Team Eligibility
- Any two college anglers can fish together — even if they attend different schools.
- Field is limited to 15 teams
- To earn College Team of the Year points, both anglers must attend the same college or university.
Teams with anglers from different schools can compete for cash and prizes, but will not earn AOY points.
Entry Fee & Payout
- Entry Fee: $200 per team — includes Big Fish Pot.
- 1 in 5 payout based on number of entries.
- Big Fish prize automatically included — no extra fee.

Angler of the Year (AOY)
- Teams earn points at each event toward the BAM College Team of the Year title.
Tournament Day Expectations
- Follow all BAM Tournament Rules.
- Handle fish properly — fish care is critical.
- Respect all anglers on the water.
- Be early, ready, and professional at check-in and weigh-in.
Professionalism On and Off the Water
BAM expects college anglers to represent their school and sponsors in a positive and professional manner.
Dress Like a Pro
- College teams are encouraged to wear school-branded or fishing jerseys.
- Jerseys are highly recommended for weigh-in and on-stage photos.
- Look and act like a pro.
Tournament Rules Highlights
- 5 fish limit per team.
- Artificial lures only — no trolling or live bait.
- BAM size and species limits apply.
- All fish must be caught during official tournament hours.
- Life jackets must be worn any time the big motor is running.
