Bago Big Bet Event Opening Registration February 26

Set for June 20-23, Bago Big Bet—a new go-fast boating event being produced by veteran organizer Shannon Higgins in Oshkosh, Wis.—Bago Big Bet will open registration on Monday, February 26. Capacity for the Lake Winnebago event is 100 boats, and with Mercury Racing as its primary backer it likely will sell out.

But while participants can sign up a few days from now, Higgins already has been working on sponsorships. Most recently, she signed on Goodboy Vodka through company founder/Alex Pratt.

“Wisconsin is a big ,powerful market for us,” said Pratt, an offshore racer and high-performance pleasure-boat owner. “We always want to support our fastest-growing markets.”

Pratt, who launched his spirit brand at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri and now has distribution in 28 states, also will participate in the event. His vessel of choice, however, either an Outerlimits SC 37 catamaran for sale at present or an MTI-V 42 center console currently under construction, is a question mark.

“If my Outerlimits doesn’t sell, I might bring that,” he said, then chuckled. “Otherwise, I’ll probably bring my new MTI.”
