American Marine Performance Ready To Make Waves During Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout
With assistance from its local dealer, H.P. Mafia in Kaiser, Mo., the team from American Marine Performance in Pompano Beach, Fla., is all set to make a splash at this year’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. According to a press release, the boat builder is going to showcase five AMP 333 center consoles and two AMP 37XPR catamarans throughout the week to highlighting its growing brand.

AMP vice president Walt Braithwaite said the company is most excited to reveal its newest 37XPR, which is being delivered to owner Ronnie Umlandt. The eight-seat 37-foot cat features twin Mercury Racing 500R engines, a unique paint job and a custom interior by Premier Performance Interiors in Sarasota, Fla.
He added that throughout the week, AMP, in partnership with H.P. Mafia, will participate in the Shootout On The Strip presented by Waves and Wheels, Super Cat Fest, Poly Lift Boat Lifts Poker Run and the weekend’s main event, the top-speed Shootout. When not competing, the boats will be on display at the host venue, Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill in Sunrise Beach.
“We have spared no expense coming here,” Braithwaite said. “It’s going to be a fantastic week showcasing our boats with H.P. Mafia and introducing AMP at the lake. There are many great boat brands out there, but none offer what we do. The market’s response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Ronnie Umlandt’s new AMP 37XPR catamaran is sure to catch a lot of attention at Lake of the Ozarks this week.
The team at H.P. Mafia can attest to that.
“There is such a buzz around this brand,” Jim Darr said in the release. “Many of our customers are giving AMP a serious look, and we couldn’t be more excited to be representing AMP at the lake. These boats are special.”
H.P. Mafia founder Anthony Smith praised the boats as well.
“Our water is unlike any other,” Smith said. “This lake gets rough, and what impressed me most is the ride of the AMP 333. It handles everything you throw at it and more.
“The boat is not only fast but also offers the best V-bottom ride in its class,” he added. “It doesn’t feel like a 33-foot boat! I’m beyond impressed with the attention to detail. The rigging is like artwork. Once word gets out, the boat will sell itself.”
Surely Smith can’t wait to get his hands on the new five-engine AMP 433 center console that is coming soon.
“The AMP 433 will not only be incredibly fast but also offer numerous creature comforts, usability, as well as an incredible unique design,” said AMP owner Arthur Fusco, adding that AMP has sold three of the 43-footers and that he expects more sales before its debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2025. “The AMP 433 is going to get a lot of attention and we cannot wait to soon bring it to the market.”
Braithwaite added that amongst that many opportunities to see these boats this week, AMP is hosting an invitation-only private party on Thursday night.
