Clearwater, Florida, is known for its beautiful beaches, but the city truly thrives thanks to its wonderful shopping, restaurants and live entertainment scene. Of course, these industries are supported by the city’s phenomenal boating culture and infrastructure. A mecca for boating and fishing enthusiasts alike, Clearwater is a perfect place for a Crownline summer vacation.
From fantastic beach attractions to a lively downtown to high-energy experiences on the water, Clearwater has plenty to offer its residents and visitors. Ride the waves with dolphins, kick back on the beach with tasty food and drinks, or explore a new boutique—there’s something for everyone in Clearwater.
Clearwater Beach is the main attraction for most visitors. From world-class fishing charters, boat tours, WaveRunner rentals, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and a range of museums, the beach is the epicenter of the city’s culture.
The downtown area brings in nearly 2 million visitors each year and offers the perfect combination of waterfront entertainment, restaurants and urban ambiance. Some of our favorite places to visit are the Clearwater Harbor Marina (a perfect spot to keep your Crownline), the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, Cleveland Street, Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill, and Columbia Restaurant Sand Key.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, we recommend spending a night in your Crownline’s cabin or visiting one of the city’s impressive hotels. The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa and the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key offer luxurious accommodations, packages and unbeatable locations. The city also has a wonderful selection of bed and breakfast options and Airbnbs.
When it comes to boating, there are so many destinations to discover. It’s easy to spend an entire week hopping from town to town on the bay. Anna Maria Island is a beloved beach town that’s never too crowded with tourists. Tampa Bay is a can’t-miss place to explore. Beer Can Island and Big Pine Key are local favorites known for their Instagram-worthy beaches. Egmont Key State Park was the backdrop of Crownline photoshoot a couple of years ago and is home to a picturesque lighthouse and fort from the 1800s.
It’s hard to experience everything that Clearwater has to offer, but easy to enjoy trying. If you’re looking for more recommendations, check out this page.
