American Custom Marine Takes Delivery Of Nor-Tech 390 No. 450

Boasting perhaps the strongest dealer network in the high-performance powerboat market, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats recently finished a 390 Sport center console powered by quad Mercury Racing 400R outboards. Thanks to those dealers and the the Cape Coral, Fla., company itself, Nor-Tech has now built 450 of its flagship 39-footers since releasing the model in 2013.

The milestone center console is headed to American Custom Marine in Kimball, Mich., which is owned by Michael Knoblock, as a currently for-sale stock boat.

“American Custom Marine has been a dealer for more than a decade, going on 13 years to be exact,” said Trond Schou, the president and co-founder of Nor-Tech. “What Michael brings to the table—in addition to strong sales performance—is that he is one of our absolute best service dealers.

“We couldn’t be happier to have him and his team onboard,” he continued. “We look forward to many more years of partnership.”

Four V-10 outboard engines producing a combine 1,600 hp power the 39-footer.

Away from his Michigan home-base this weekend as he’s competing in the Offshore Powerboat Association Lake Hopatcong Grand Prix in New Jersey, Knoblock said he’s eager to find a good home for the boat—and grateful for the opportunity to work with Schou and the entire Nor-Tech group.

“We have a great working relationship and partnership with Trond and everyone at Nor-Tech,” he said. “Our companies have grown together.

“Nor-Tech 390 Sport center console No. 450 is just beautiful,” he added. “Whether it’s a repeat Nor-Tech buyer or a new customer, someone is going to end up with a great boat.”

Knoblock never fails to deliver what Schou calls “the Nor-Tech experience.”

Schou described Knoblock as going “all in” with every client.

“Every customer can rest assured that their relationship with Michael will be for the long term,” he said. “He truly gives all of our clients ‘the Nor-Tech experience.’”
