NEW Power-Pole x Garmin Integration
Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd., the world’s largest and most innovative marine electronics manufacturer, and Power-Pole, known brand of shallow water anchors, are announcing new Garmin and Power-Pole advanced boat control. Below is a quick summary of the new features and what it means for you.

Smart Anchor
Once you enter anchor lock, your chartplotter will detect the current depth of the water, and if it’s shallow enough, it’ll automatically deploy Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchors and use it to hold your position.
When your Power-Pole anchors and Force Trolling Motor are deployed and you are ready to move to your next spot, your Power-Pole anchors will automatically stow when you stow your Force Trolling Motor.

Smart Anchor Jog
When using the trolling motor to jog, the Power-Pole anchors will automatically stow themselves, and the trolling motor will jog to the position you choose. Once you get there, Smart Anchor will kick in and either redeploy your Power-Pole anchors or use Force Anchor Lock to hold your position.

Drag Detection
When your chartplotter detects the boat dragging, it’ll stow your Power-Pole anchors, use the trolling motor to get you back to your position, then redeploy the Power-Pole anchors once you get there.

End of Route
When you reach the end of your route, the chartplotter will utilize Smart Anchor to measure the water depth and deploy Power-Pole anchors if it’s shallow enough.
These new features will soon be available for compatible chartplotters and anchors. Maximizing boat control and efficiency on the water, this collaboration between Power-Pole and Garmin is sure to help you make the most out of your time on the water.
