This incredible scholarship opportunity is designed to help high school anglers further their education while continuing to compete at the highest level in collegiate bass fishing.

Why Simpson University?

Simpson University’s Bass Fishing Team is one of the most fully funded collegiate fishing programs on the West Coast. Thanks to institutional support and sponsor backing, Simpson provides student anglers with:
✅ Fully covered tournament participation—East Coast and West Coast events at all levels
✅ Funding & reimbursements for all competition-related expenses
✅ Networking and industry partnerships to help advance angling careers

The program is one of only four collegiate bass teams sponsored by Bridgford Foods, the largest non-endemic sponsor in bass fishing. The other three are Division 1 schools, highlighting Simpson University’s strong industry presence.

The team also has strong partnerships with Black Bear Diner and other major industry brands, making it an ideal place for student anglers to grow their careers both on and off the water.

This $25,000 per year scholarship is more than just financial aid—it’s a steppingstone to a professional angling career while obtaining a degree from an accredited institution.
