Wozencraft Racing To Make Super Stock Main Event

Everything looked perfectly normal for the Wozencraft Racing cockpit duo of owner/driver Jeremy Tschida and throttleman Julian Maldonado as they headed into the third lap of their Super Stock-class heat yesterday during the XINSURANCE Offshore event at the Lake of the Ozarks. By the time was nearly complete, however, the 31-foot Dubai-built Victory catamaran’s starboard 300-hp outboard engine was seriously askew and appeared ready to fall off.

“A swivel-pin snapped as we went around the corner,” Maldonado explained. “It wasn’t too violent—I just held it wide open so it wouldn’t bite and roll over.”

The 31-footer was not damaged in the incident.

“We will be ready for today’s race,” Maldonado added. “It’s all good.”

The Raymarine and Hi-Tech Decking teams prevailed in yesterday’s Super Stock heats on the Central Missouri waterway. (Read the story.)

With all 15 boats in the mix, today’s Super Stock main event is slated to being at 11 a.m.
