On May 22, six Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 teams took to the rough waters off Cocoa Beach, Fla., and put on a show for fans on the shoreline at the first of eight races in the Class 1 World Championship Series. But for those who weren’t there or didn’t catch the action via the P1 Offshore Facebook page livestream—or offshore-racing fans who simply want revisit it—the first episode of Class 1 coverage is airing on CBS Sports and Bally sports television this weekend.

Running 30 minutes, the UIM Cocoa Beach episode will premiere Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on CBS Sports Network, according to a press release from P1 Offshore/Powerboat P1. Bally Sports Regional Networks also will air both the Class 1 and P1 Offshore programs this weekend. (Viewers should check their local listings for viewing times in their region.)

“Broadcast relationships play a key role in building Class 1’s international presence and in delivering significant exposure for host venues, race teams, sponsors and partners,” said Powerboat P1 chief executive officer, Azam Rangoonwala, in the release. “The aim is to grow the class in the United States and at the same time develop plans to globalize the series over the coming years.”

Both Class 1 and P1 Offshore—its United States-based sister series—will be featured in separate 30-minute highlights shows. P1 Offshore’s full domestic broadcast plans will be announced next week alongside international airings for both Class 1 and P1 Offshore, the release stated.
