Oceanic Systems (UK)’s Poseidon system has been installed on Spirit Yachts’ P70 motor yacht.
The Spirit P70 was designed for a motor yacht customer who requested an owner-driven yacht capable of cruising 1,000nm at an average of 18 knots across the North Sea without having to refuel.
The Poseidon system was chosen to automatically manage the multi tank fuel system to maximise the yachts range with minimum input from the owner.
This includes the automatic selection of fuel tank usage and the ability to transfer fuel automatically.
The system also monitors the engines and transmissions with full data logging for later analysis.
“We chose Oceanic Systems’ Poseidon system for the totally flexible interface that enabled us to manage our fuel system for optimal results automatically which is exactly what it has done,” said Nigel Stuart, Spirit Yachts MD.
Poseidon is an alarm, monitoring and control system that has PIN controlled user access and user customisation capabilities.
