Sponsors Flocking To Support Cincinnati-Based Rock The River Fun Run

By the time last year’s Rock The River Fun Run in Cincinnati ended, the event organizers had pulled in $32,000 in sponsorship money. The fifth annual two-day event finished with $40,000 to donate to the Cecil Dye Foundation and attracted a record-setting 123 boats.

Formula Boat is among the event’s returning backers

If sponsorships for the weekend-long happening set for August 15-16 continue at their current pace, all of those event records will fall this year. One of them already has—current sponsorship commitments for the event total $54,500 and backers are continuing to sign up.

More than 30 sponsors including Formula Boats and Sunsation Powerboats have committed so far.

“It’s unreal,” said Pat Feldhaus, who organizes the event with his brother, Matt, and their mutual friend, Michael Caliguri.

General registration opens May 1. Sign ups are limited to 125 boats.

The event features lunch runs on Friday and Saturday.
