On a roll with sponsorship deals of late, Powerboat P1/P1 Offshore has inked a three-year with Sandy, Utah-headquartered XINSURNANCE as its Official Partner. The news was announced in a press release from Powerboat P1 this morning.

The principal sponsor of Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 345 Racing team, which pairs veteran offshore racer Miles Jennings with rookie competitor and Good Boy Vodka and Hard Seltzer founder Alex Pratt in a 42-foot Victory catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 1100 Comp engines, XINSURANCE offers “customized specialty liability insurance for businesses and individuals.”
“This is an exciting time for us to provide support in an effort to help build, showcase and highlight the excitement of P1 Offshore racing and marine motorsports,” said Rick Lindsey J. Lindsay, the president and chief operating officer of XINSURANCE , in the release. “We look forward to working with the team and coordinators nationwide who work diligently to organize and promote these exciting events.
“XINSURANCE has a history of sponsoring spectator events, athletes and professionals, and we now look forward to a successful relationship with Powerboat P1 in a growing market,” he added.
Currently backing the 345 Racing team, XINSURANCE has been in the specialty insurance business for 40-plus years.
As part of the deal Powerboat P1 will have a seat for a photographer/videographer or race commentator in the XINSURANCE A-Star helicopter at the upcoming Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix and St. Petersburg Grand Prix in Southwest Florida. Both contests are part of the 10-race UIM Class 1 World Championship Series being produced by P1 Offshore.
“Strategic partnerships play an important role in our business and we are looking forward to welcoming the XINSURANCE team and their helicopter to our two P1 Offshore events in Florida,” said Azam Rangoonwala, the chief executive officer of Powerboat P1, in the release. “We will be working closely with them to meet their business objectives.”
