Racing: Nobody’s Business Raceboat To Debut All-New Look In Point Pleasant Beach

Does a new title sponsor and graphics automatically make an offshore raceboat faster? No. But they do tend to inspire and motivate a team’s driver, throttleman and crew and that could translate to more speed on the racecourse.

And that’s exactly what the Stock V-class Nobody’s Business team is hoping for with the new livery and colors on its 30-foot Phantom V-bottom.

With Laticrete International as its new title sponsor and a successful testing session accomplished last weekend, the Nobody’s Business team is ready for the Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix in New Jersey this weekend.

With Laticrete International—the team’s new primary backer—on board, the 30-footer will debut its new look at the June 10-12  Offshore Powerboat Association Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix. The historic New Jersey event is the first regional race on this year’s OPA schedule and likely, based on past turnouts, will attract a healthy Stock V fleet.

For Connecticut-based throttleman Rob Hartmann, the Garden State race site is particularly significant and the perfect venue to unveil the new-look raceboat.

“I was born in New Jersey and used to visit the Jersey Shore with family every summer,” he explained. “Point Pleasant is one of my favorite races because it’s an easy trip for friends, family and now the team from Laticrete. I’m really looking forward to putting on a good show this year with the boats new bad-ass look.”

A new title sponsor has translated to a new look for the Nobody’s Business team.

Chris Uzzolina, the team’s North Carolina-based owner/driver, is equally fired up to start the season.

“Our team, along with longtime sponsor BRP Marine Custom, has put in the work to the boat dialed in and ready to be a front runner,” he said. “After a full week of eight-hour days thrashing, we had a successful test session last weekend. We’re ready.

“We also added some new local sponsors this year, including the Tides End Marina and Watersports out of Forked River (N.J) and The Cookie Lady.”
