Satellite communications company Intellian, has opened its new €6.5m European HQ and Logistics Centre.
The centre, based in Rotterdam, will help the Korean manufacturer with operational efficiency, streamline supply chains and provide more cost-effective product delivery to the European market.
The company previously rented premises in the Dutch city – the new base will be more than three times the size and includes office and warehouse space, a solution centre, customer support centre, and a product demonstration and event area, plus multiple loading bays and access to a full line-up of test systems.
It also includes a training centre for product testing, seminars, workshops and customer meetings.
“This significant and worthwhile investment in Europe is crucial to the future success of Intellian and our global partners, meeting increasing product demand and the need to be agile with a new infrastructure and facility,” said Jon Harrison, vice president and general manager, Intellian.
“Our continued mission is to streamline the overall supply chain, ensuring faster delivery, increased capacity for stock and additional product lines. This new flagship facility will deliver a polished, higher quality of service, not only for Europe, but for all Intellian partners and customers globally.”
The Rotterdam project is one of several new premises the company is opening this year.
Its new Research and Development Centre in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, was recently completed, while the UK team will have new offices near Heathrow, London.
A new R&D facility focused on emerging technologies will also begin operations in Maryland, USA.
