New from Dometic is its Oceanair Skyscreen Pleated, a surface-mounted blackout and flyscreen blind designed for larger hatches.
Equally effective in new builds or as a retrofit, it delivers in a single package a blackout honeycomb or single pleat fabric combined with the practical aspects of a high-quality fly screen.
“This combination allows boat owners to tailor their cabin environments to their own specific needs,” says Darren Bown of UK supplier IMP, “such as allowing in a gentle breeze whilst keeping the flies and mosquitos out, along with the option of total blackout for a perfect night’s sleep.”
Compact and unobtrusive
The design offers a slim cassette for minimal impact on the available headroom and integrated magnetic handles. With its durable, powder coated aluminium construction, this modern hatch blind is ideally suited to any marine environment.
The blackout honeycomb fabric that forms an integral part of the Dometic Oceanair Skyscreen Pleated has been developed as part of Dometic’s commitment to continually look for new ways to improve its products.
The new, water resistant material has been developed to deliver improved shading and insulation from the elements and is available in white or beige.
The honeycomb fabric’s cording holes are contained within the cell structure, providing concealed cording and removing any visible holes and light bleed from the fabric.
