Given the value that Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based FB Marine Group places on marine industry experience and the high-touch service culture it breeds, the recent hiring of Mindi Doller makes perfect sense. Doller brings more than three decades of experience, from handling sales to expanding service operations, to her new role as FB Marine Group’s business development manager.
A couple of marine industry veterans, Kim Sweers (left) and Mindi Doller are delighted to be working together at last.
“We wanted Mindi years ago but she was on a different path,” said Kim Sweers, the managing partner of the multi-faceted business. “We know she’ll expand and open new avenues of business for FB Marine Group—and she’ll be an extension of me when I’m not here.
“Everyone knows Mindi—she has way more industry experience that I do and I have 23 years—and she’ll be a great asset to business development,” she continued. “We have a very strong administrative foundation here, so Mindi also will be helping Randy (Sweers, FB Marine founder and fellow managing partner) and I oversee our team.”
Dollar said that in addition to working with Kim and Randy Sweers, FB Marine Group’s service approach attracted her to the team.
“They have an unbelievable VIP concierge team that actually comes to the clients and takes care of their service needs,” she added. “They do so much remote service.”
Sweers chuckled. “One of our fortes has become complete bow-to-stern refits and renovation. It sort of just happened.”
In addition to its extensive service operations, FB Marine Group is a Contender, Statement Marine, Mercury Marine, Mercury Racing, Suzuki and Yamaha dealer. The company also is sales partner—one of four in the country—for Intrepid Yachts.
“Having Mindi on the team is a definite win-win for FB Marine Group,” said Sweers.
