Midwest Modern Photography Exhibit Opens in Chicago

Explore Great Lakes architecture through a series of photographs documenting how the lakes have shaped local architecture. The Chicago Maritime Museum in Bridgeport is featuring a new photography exhibit featuring maritime images and photographs of beach architecture around the lakes — the work of photographer Josh Lipnik. 

“I think that the cities of the Midwest and the Rust Belt, where you have sort of de-industrialized cities that have fallen on harder times, make for a really interesting architecture history,” says Lipnik, reports Axios Chicago.

The Midwest Modern exhibit is located on the River Level of the Bridgeport Art Center, and will be open through the fall. Tickets cost $10 for adults.
