Meet the Last Ace 103S: Ever Green’s New FFS Power Strolling Bait

Meet the Last Ace 103S: Ever Green’s New FFS Power Strolling Bait

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA (April 21, 2025) – Following last year’s buzz-worthy debut of theLast Ace 128S, Ever Green returns with the brand-new, downsized Last Ace 103S.

Forward-facing sonar (FFS) continues to revolutionize bass fishing, spawning a wave of refined techniques like ‘moping,’ ‘hover strolling,’ and ‘mid-strolling.’ Ever Green’s compact, 4-inch Last Ace 103S is built specifically for power mid-strolling—a method developed to entice dominant bass spotted on sonar.

Optimized for action, the Last Ace 103S features a unique salt-infused belly. “The salt composition is evenly dispersed through only the belly half of the Last Ace 103S,” said Martin. “Rigged weightless and power strolled, it causes the bait to sink horizontally and produce a shimmy akin to an injured baitfish. Its offset weighting is the key.”

The lure is also scented throughout for added attraction. A soft belly and tail improve movement, while the denser top section boosts hook durability. The raised 3D “real eyes” and lifelike dotted lateral line deliver an ultra-realistic baitfish appearance. The Last Ace 103S comes in six forage-imitating color options, mimicking prey like bluegill and shad.

Rigging the Last Ace 103S

Ever Green Last Ace 103S Super Wakasagi

Engineered for slow sinking, the Last Ace 103S performs well when rigged weightless on a swimbait hook. Insert the hook down through the nose, out the belly, and tuck it into the notched back. This setup keeps the hook concealed yet allows easy penetration on strikes. It also makes the lure nearly weedless for fishing around vegetation.

Anglers can also use a jig head. A lighter jig helps work the bait mid-column, while heavier setups are better suited for bottom presentations. Long-shank jigs with strong baitholders are recommended.

Another simple yet effective option: rig it wacky style by inserting a kahle-style hook sideways through the back. This creates a twitchy action that mimics a dying baitfish.

The Last Ace 103S owes its distinctive mid-strolling appeal to its up-curved tail design. “The unique shape and angle of the tail makes it effortless for anglers to achieve that tantalizing rolling action so popular with FFS,” said Martin.

New for 2025: Compact Size, Big Results

Answering angler demand, the Last Ace 103S offers a smaller profile ideal for sonar-focused techniques. With a highly detailed finish, authentic movement, and forward-facing sonar compatibility, it’s set to become a go-to bait for discerning bass anglers.
