If you read Jason Johnson’s impeccably written, originally reported story published two days ago on speedonthewater.com, you know that Justin Wagner of Waves And Wheels at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri has acquired Doug Wright Powerboats. But Wagner isn’t just the creative wizard behind the Waves And Wheels brand—he’s a savvy marketer. He knows that not everyone digests content through reading online news stories.
So Wagner reached out to Scrapyard Media company founder/owner Brad DiMaggio to tell the story via video. And the compelling, 20-minute segment went live this afternoon.
At just 20-minutes, the new Scrapyard Media video on the latest move from Waves And Wheels is an easy and compelling watch.
Wagner and DiMaggio had worked together before. Most notably, Scrapyard Media co-produced the entire Speed On The Water “In The Lead Video” series, and one of the episodes focused on Wagner and the ongoing rise of Waves And Wheels.
A little more than a year later, Scrapyard Media produced a video titled “Project: Adaptation | Waves And Wheels’ Custom Doug Wright 42 Carbon,” which chronicled the build of a unique 42-foot Doug Wright catamaran for Michigan based performance-boat owner Dave Burgess.
So the stage was set from the two talented gentlemen and their teams to collaborate again.
“I was thrilled when Justin called me with the news of his acquisition of Doug Wright—and even more excited when he asked our team to produce a video showcasing the process,” said DiMaggio. “This is our third consecutive year working with Justin and I think our videos keep getting better.
“All credit for filming and editing goes to Scrapyard’s Bobby Boyd,” he continued. “The direction of the video was his vision, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Bobby has been with Scrapyard for a little over two years and most of you have seen him at an event or two.”
It’s a relationship that is sure to continue.
“We’re looking forward to supporting Justin in the future with his marketing efforts as things ramp up with his business,” DiMaggio added.
In the meantime, the new video should pique viewer interest. It’s an excellent watch about a worthy subject.
It may even inspire a few would-be entrepreneurs.
