Ladies of the Light Lecture with Dianna Stampfler

The Michigan Maritime Museum will host Ladies of the Light with author and speaker Dianna Stampfler on Wednesday, March 12 from 6:30 – 7:30pm. The event will highlight female lighthouse keepers across the Great Lakes from the 1840s to present, and will include nearly 70 images of keepers and their families.

The lecture series is part of the museum’s year-long Whispers Across the Water series that showcases contributions of minorities to Great Lakes maritime history, and is made possible thanks to the Nielsen-Wells Grant Fund and Mike & Susan Smith. Tickets are free for Museum members and $10 for non-members. Doors open at 6 PM.
