Know Your Boats

There are a lot of different types of boats out there, and no one type meets all needs for all people. At Crownline, we strive to create a large variety of options to appeal to boaters’ wants and needs.

If you’re new to boating, it can be hard to know where to begin. While any of our dealers would be more than happy to give you a guided tour, here are five fundamental types of boats that we offer

#1 Bowrider
Bowriders are a classic Crownline boat. Beautiful, agile and comfortable, they strike the perfect balance for many boaters. The name isn’t accidental; it connotes the large amount of leisure space at the bow of the boat.  The Crownline 210 SS is a great example of this classic boating style.

#3 Cabin Cruiser
Cruisers are all about accessible luxury. These longer, deeper boats are jam-packed with amenities for not only a day on the water, but a night or two as well. Crownline cruisers come with everything you can imagine, from sleeping quarters to refrigerator, microwave, electric stove, and more. Even better, all the pleasures of water sports remain accessible.  Check out the Crownline 294 CR to see what it is all about!

#4 Outboard

If you’ve been shopping for bowriders recently, you probably noticed a lot more are being offered with outboards these days. With this type of boat, stern-drives have always ruled the roost. Yet we’ve seen new model introductions from heavy-hitters like Crownline.  Not just for fishing boats anymore…. Today’s outboards are shockingly reliable, and more importantly, eliminate the need for a lot of mechanical pieces and parts that are necessary with a stern-drive. Getting power to the prop is much simpler.  Crownline offers 13 Outboards (XS Series & XSS Series), they really are spectacular and luxurious.

#5 Surf

The Crownline Surf Series offers a game changing surf experience assisted by today’s best tech. Dial in the perfect wake with Wake Worx surf tabs. A smartly designed center ballast system, featuring two additional bags (with Quick Disconnect hardware for easy filling), optimizes height and length of your wave to provide the perfect wake surfing experience.

There’s no one-size-fits-all boat type out there. Visit your local dealer to learn the ins and outs of each category as you find the one that works best for you.
